Common Questions

Before you call.

What does it cost to join a class action?
Nothing — ever. Class counsel is paid a court-approved fee out of the recovery, and we advance all litigation costs. If there is no recovery, you owe nothing. Anyone asking you to pay to “join” a class action is not operating legitimately.
What exactly is a class action?
A class action lets one lawsuit resolve the claims of everyone harmed the same way by the same conduct. It exists for cases where each person's loss is too small to litigate alone, but the defendant's total gain is enormous. The court supervises the case, the settlement, and the attorneys' fees.
How long do these cases take?
Longer than anyone would like — typically two to four years from filing to distribution, sometimes faster in settlement postures. We keep class members informed at every stage, and you never need to appear in court.
Will I have to testify or go to court?
Almost never. Class representatives — a small handful of named plaintiffs — participate more actively. Absent class members typically only submit a claim form when a settlement is reached.
What if I signed an arbitration clause?
Don't assume it disqualifies you. Arbitration clauses are frequently unenforceable in whole or part, and we regularly litigate around them — including mass arbitration when it is the stronger path. Let us evaluate it.
